Privacy Policy

Forgeview is a local-first 3D model viewer for desktop and Android. This policy explains what the Forgeview app and this website do with information. Forgeview does not require an account and does not upload your model files to a Forgeview server.

Information you choose to open

When you open a model, the app reads the files you select on your device so it can render the scene. Related files such as textures, materials, and animation resources may be read from the same local selection. Model bytes are not sent to Forgeview cloud storage or used to build a user profile.

Local preferences

The app may keep small pieces of local metadata such as recent-file names, selected inspector tab, lighting preset, camera state, and visibility preferences. These values remain on the device and can be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. The app does not provide account sync.

Advertising and consent

The Android release uses Google Mobile Ads for a persistent banner and Google's User Messaging Platform for consent choices. Depending on region, consent, and Google's ad settings, Google may process device or advertising identifiers, diagnostics, ad requests, and ad interaction signals to provide and measure advertising. The app does not sell your model files.

Android provides a privacy-options entry point so users can review available advertising choices. Forgeview does not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the current release.

Website hosting

This website is hosted with Firebase Hosting. The hosting provider may receive standard request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser, device, and request timing. The website does not use a Forgeview account system, advertising tracker, or contact form.

Sharing and retention

Forgeview does not share model files with the developer. Local preferences remain until you remove them. Advertising-related processing is handled by Google under the choices and policies presented through the app. Website logs and operational records are retained by the hosting provider according to its own policies.

Children

Forgeview is a general-purpose technical tool and is not directed to children under 13. Do not use it to submit personal information about a child.

Your choices

You can decline or change available ad-consent choices through the Android privacy-options control, avoid opening files you do not want the app to read, and clear local app data at any time. You can also contact the developer about this policy or data practices.
